Halloween 2009

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. It was a full week of festivities which all included dressing up! Since that is one of Alexandra’s favorite things to do (in addition to getting candy) I think this may be one of her favorite holidays. The girls had matching costumes for some of the parties and then Alexandra decided she wanted to wear her Snow White dress for school and trick or treating. Lots of cute pics. Enjoy!

Snow White and her friends at school. They were all super cute! Her teacher had them singing songs and dancing…it was a lot of fun to see her in school with her friends.

It was a rainy Halloween day…but it did let up a bit so Alexandra could go out trick or treating. She was so cute keeping up with the big kids. Luke ended up carrying her up and down a lot of the stairs…it was way too many for her to climb on her own. I can’t believe how much candy she came home with!

October Festivities

Alexandra had a great time at the Fall Festivals this year, it was fun to see her as one of the “Big” kids and not the baby that needs help with everything. Charlotte loves coming along for the ride and watching all of the kids play – theres so much to look at.

So cute! We try to get out for a daily walk, especially with this nice fall weather. The girls love to be outside.

Family Beach Trip

Hello, from Duck, NC!

We took the girls on their first beach trip this August. Alexandra Loved playing with her cousin and spending lots of time at the beach and pool. Charlotte was a real trooper and loved the sound of the ocean and getting lots of attention.

Meet baby Charlotte…

Born on June 3rd, 2009 at 7:42 a.m. She weighed 9.4 lbs and was 22 inches long! That was a lot bigger than Alexandra, but she was equally as perfect

Charlotte’s Big Sister came to visit her at the hospital…it was a lot of fun to introduce to the girls for the first time.

Wow, we really can’t believe our little girl is 2 already. She’s become such a sweet and fun little girl, and has grown up so much. Alexandra says Everything…its pretty funny. You definitely have to be careful about what you say around her, because not only does she understand…but she’ll copy you!

We had a Birthday party for her in Richmond with our family and then the next weekend we had a Birthday party for her at a local park with some of her closest friends.

She knew what to do as soon as she saw the presents…no hesitation!

The next weekend was her Birthday party with her friends. We couldn’t have been more lucky with the weather…it was beautifu outside! She had a Mickey Mouse theme…with Mickey balloons, plates, cake, you name it.

The blue frosting turned her tongue blue…she thought that was pretty cool.

Easter 2009

Easter was a lot of fun this year…Alexandra participated in her first Easter egg hunt! It was pretty competitive to get the eggs since there were so many kids, but it was still a lot of fun. On Easter morning she got to hunt for her first Easter basket at my parents house…she thought that was pretty cool and found it right away!

We also got to have an egg hunt at her Granny’s house for Alexandra and her cousin Cole on Easter morning…they found a lot of eggs!

How cute are these kids? They were all dressed up in special Easter Attire.

Reston Zoo

We took our first trip to the Reston Zoo this month. There was some nice weather, so we took full advantage! Alexa gets so excited to see all of the animals. Its a lot of fun for the kids because they get to feed a lot of the animals, and also go on a wagon safari ride and feed some of the larger animals (camels, bison, african cows, llamas…and many others)

She went for her first p0ny ride! She really loved it, I just know she’ll continue to love horses as she gets older.

She’s so silly!

Visit to the Firehouse

My Moms group recently made a trip to the Firehouse for a tour. It was really cool for the kids to hop inside of the firetrucks and ambulences. Alexandra kept asking to drive…haha…but those seats were off limits to her. She thought it was cool to get inside and play with all of the seatbelts.

House of Bounce

A couple of us took the kids to this place called the House of Bounce. It was pretty wild…these slides and bouncey machines were huge. Alexandra loved it!
